About me

Arunas Mazeika

Husband and father of two wonderful kids

Nantes, France

My astronomy journey began when I was 10 years old. My father managed to recover a Polarex 102mm refractor that my uncle bought during the last passage of the Halley comet back in eighties. Long after in 2005, I bought my 1st Newtonian telescope (254mm f/D5) and been since observing and imaging the night sky, and accquiring more and more telescopes and gear, you all know how it goes ...

I have an engineering degree with minor on electronics and telecom systems, followed by a master's degree on signal processing. My professional career somehow shifted around 2008 when I got hooked on web development. Today I'm a senior backend web developer working with the same team at timble since 2012. I'm also passionate about 3D printing and a tinkerer by nature. I love to build things, tear them appart and then put them back together.
